Careers in Science & Technology

Students are invited to submit career interviews and profiles. These should not exceed 2 pages in length, double-spaced.

1) Create profiles of current careers in science and technology. A career profile ideally contains the following:

  • General description of career
  • Educational requirements (including necessary high school preparations)
  • Current demand
  • Working conditions
  • Current Salary scales

2) Reports on interviews with scientists, technologists, and others currently working in a science-related field:

  • Interviews should be arranged by the student and the science professional.
  • Include the name of the person interviewed.
  • Include a description of the person's career.
  • Provide a detailed transcript of the interview: Students are required to transcribe the interview (if audio-taped) and submit the transcription to Eye On Science.
  • The professional will be required to sign a form allowing Eye On Science to publish the interview. Eye on Science will provide the necessary form if your interview is selected for publication.

These interviews and profiles should enhance student awareness of careers in science and technology.
